21st CENTURY, THE HARDEST TIME TO BE A MAN.
This 21st century is the hardest time to be a man.
In times past, the society was structured or maybe functioned rather in such a way that men left the home to seek out means of livelihood, acquire knowledge, and interact with the wider world.
Women on the other hand, stayed back at home and nurtured babies.
Women stayed behind as the men proceeded to acquire valuable skill or education. They returned as better versions of who they used to be. There is nothing as mysterifying as knowledge you don't have. It makes you look onto those that know as superior beings. Some sort of demigods. It made them appear as all-knowing, and commanded respect accordingly.
With these difference in opportunities and training, men reigned in dominance. Not because they put the women under subjugation, but because of the intricacies that gave them an edge and placed them above.
Men were husbands to women who without them, would not feed, have shelter or acquire status in her own right. Rightfully making them Lords over the women.
Things are hardly so today.
Thanks to many revolutions, women today have occupations, rights, own lands acquire skills and training, etc. and explore areas far beyond the home front.
This demystifies the dominance men in past generations reigned in. Men of today are no longer husbands to helpless women who without them cannot feed, cloth or be sheltered.
This is where most of our social and martial problems of today stem from.
Men still desire to command the lead in a generation where women have attained the same edge that put the men afront in times past.
Today, we have a generation of men with the sense of masculine superiority from the past in a world with a modern woman who has a great sense of will-to aspire, pursue, and attain. Thereby leveling the superiority of the male folk.
Some men try to "pacify" this by surrounding themselves with women with less sense of will, ability and drive. That works fine, far better than keeping women they coerce and beat down to subjugation. Some women even make it easier by bridling their aspirations to "non-threatening" thresholds.
There are many men who are yoked with women who offer better provision, protection and guide, for both themselves and the man. Yet the man holds himself as superior based only on the notion that "he is the man".
I do not know what the future generation would hold for men. God forbid the rise of women would lead to the emasculation of men. But women were emasculated for too long and many women still are. In humility and grace they lived through it, and it accounted to them as virtue.
