CHELSEA :THE CLUB, THE FIRST DAUGHTER, AND THE GIN.

Chelsea. The first time I heard about Chelsea FC was in 2004. When Abramovich, the Russian billionaire bought over the Club, invested billions of dollars in it and brought it back to life.

When money talks, success happens.

And everything worked. Chelsea got a good Manager and with unbridled finances, he got great players on board. By the second season, Chelsea FC won the Premiership League again, after 50 years of drought.

Well, there is another Chelsea I had known before the "Abramovich revival". Chelsea Clinton,the progeny of two great personas in American politics, and modern politics at large. When I first heard of her, she was a camera-shy First Daughter. But today, she has become a woman who is confident in who she was, who she has become, and who she is going to be in the future.

Now I would tell you about the first "Chelsea" I ever knew. Wait for it....... Chelsea Dry Gin!. Chelsea, the white spirit men use to call on their ancestors. The libation men pour to the soil to accord their forefathers the honor of the first taste. The spirit men present only to their guests of esteemed value.

Sadly, only few turn to it today. Men who turn to it today are either those who present it as a requisite in a traditional rite,  those who cannot afford expensive liquor, those who use it as a basal mix in a herbal concoction, or the drunkard who is appreciative and unable to resist any and every kind of liquor.

As drunken as this may sound, Chelsea Dry Gin this is the Chelsea that first comes to my mind whenever I hear the word "Chelsea".
