MANY THANKS TO ALL OUR STARS.

I used to think that acting was an effortless art that required little or no talent. Until I realized that the few times I attempted to feign an expression or emotion, I always got caught and was laughed off.

On that realization, actors, actresses and acting gained a whole new level of respect before my eyes. It is not easy to be a handsome bloke today and tomorrow, you are a street hustler sweating to earn the next meal. And another day, you are an undergraduate student, then again you play a Father of 4. Doing all these convincingly, effortlessly and without doubt.

Now I understand why they command the attention, why they enjoy the spotlight. They simply deserve it. For if acting were an ability anyone could easily maneuver, we all could have found a spot in Hollywood.

We believe them so well on screen that we forget their own lives are not as glamorous as they portray and most times, they help keep up the illusion with their show offs.

Acting is home for everyone - both the young and old alike, the fresh faced and the wrinkled, the beautiful and the pale too. It offers a career without retirement and opens golden days.

We all cannot be top politicians, successful business men or women, CEOs, Professors, Lawyers, etc.Acting is one profession that allows one to be all  things, even if it is on screen only.

This is a huge thanks to our stars who make us happy with their cheers and tears, words and acts. Thanks for choosing to shine bright, bright enough to shine the path of others. May the gods be blessed, for in each person they find worthy of a talent and endow them with all they may ever need to succeed
